What is goAML? The goAML system is a reporting platform developed by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and operated by the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU). All UAE Financial Institutions, DNFBPs, and VASPs must register on goAML to report suspicious transactions related to money laundering and terrorist financing.
Under Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2018 (updated by Law No. 10 of 2025), ALL Financial Institutions, DNFBPs, and VASPs in the UAE must register on goAML. Failure attracts fines of AED 50,000 – AED 1 Million.
